We are currently working with a fashion BOUTIQUE WEB DESIGN client that has proven to be a rewarding challenge. The web site is not completed so we will not show you the final design yet. However, I would like to show you a draft of one web design that was developed but not chosen by our client. They will give you an insight into our approach when designing for the fashion client.

When you think of couture fashion it brings to mind a certain aesthetic. Elegant backdrops, Stylish yet tasteful accessories, and peerless taste. That is the effect we were after in this web design. In effect, we wanted a "look and feel" that would be perfectly appropriate for the "high-end" client. The restrained use of color, the monochromatic touches, the open airy feel of the page all speak of a timeless sense of style. How is this classic sense of style achieved by a web designer? An article written four years ago explains how:
"A person who can design in the classic sense has learned how to discard the faddish, ephemeral and gimmicky, leaving the elegant, well chosen and tested design elements. What is the best way to develop a classic web design style? Study the work of the great masters of classic design in other fields. The fashion, architecture, automobile and print design fields have established masters whose body of work can be studied." WHAT IS CLASSIC WEB DESIGN?"
Fashion has a visual vocabulary that must be understood to a reasonable degree by any web designer serving that industry. We have used that "vocabulary" to create this web design.
