The Greater Newark Conservancy looks to the future with both a sense of accomplishment and anticapation. Building on the succes of its programs, renowned for service and strength of its leadership, the Conservancy will create new facilities to expand its programming to better serve the Greater Newark Community.

Facilities Renovation and Expansion Goal $5.9 Million

The fulfillment of the Greater Newark Conservancy's vision for the future includes the complete renovation of its Conservancy Building and the addition of the Outdoor Learning Center to create the Urbaan Environmental and Ecological Center. These facilities will enable the Conservancy to increase the number of children served through its education program; the number of adults served through its job training programs, and will allow the Conservancy to better serve the community of Newark as a whole by providing a place of beauty and reflection in the midst of the city.

The $5.9 milliom fund rising effort will underwrite two major facility improvements and develop new programming that will better serve the Greater Newark community.

The Urban Environmental and Ecological Center $2,500,000

A gift of $2,500,000 wll name the Urban Environmental and Ecological Center. This significant investment is a powerful voice for insuring that future generations of citizens are more educated about their environment and live in a more beautiful and healthy city.
