As WEB DESIGNERS, we take great pride in providing a higher level of artistry and craftsmanship for artisans in other trades. This website was developed for one such artist, a CAKE DESIGNER SPECIALIZING IN HIGHER QUALITY WEDDING AND SPECIALTY CAKES. The website educates potential clients and provides valuable information regarding the buying process. It also shows sample of the clients' work, and a means to contact him.

The web design needed to be tasteful and elegant, appealing to an affluent customer base. We also sought to make the website very easy-to-use, for both the client and his potential customers.

In our design, the clients' beautifully crafted cakes take center stage. The color palette and quiet white spaces allow the cakes to be the focal point of each page. We sought to create a design that was both formal in layout yet relaxed in character. The design is easily expandable, allowing the client to add new content on a periodic basis. The design avoids Flash animation, as it is a information tool that must first be search engine friendly and quick to load on computers using dial-up Internet access.

The final product is a practical and elegant website that will be a potent marketing tool for this artistic cake baker!
