Gallery Web Design

This is a web design done recently for THE FLOWERS OF ALBUQUERQUE, ONLINE PHOTO GALLERY. It features the photography of Donald Peterson, the Creative Director of newark1.com. We built this website to test design and coding that was later used for a clients' website. The objective was to create a clean, stylish backdrop for art that contains bold, splashy colors.

It you've observed our work to date, you'll notice that we have never used a black background for any website we've designed. Generally, black website backgrounds adds a dark, gothic effect that feels more forbidding than stylish (at least in our humble opinion). However, in this case the bright, cheerful pastels of the flower photographs really 'pop' against the black background. Oh well, who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks!
